TTC Journey

During my Master’s degree started having weird period issues. Spotting midcycle while on the pill.

Went off the pill after taking every type ever to have been invented (only a slight exaggeration).

Still spotting midcycle, to the point that 50-60% of my cycle was spent on my period. FINALLY convinced my family doc to send me for bloodwork.

Got married, couldn’t even fathom having babies. Figured we would once my 3 year work contract ended (and I hopefully got something permanent for a mat leave)

FINALLY got in to see a gynaecologist and had external and internal ultrasounds to confirm that my uterus was actually there. It is. Yay. Gynaecologist assured me my reproductive system was physically fine and there was nothing she could do for my messed up cycle. Caved, googled my symptoms and made an appointment to a Naturopathic Doctor.

The Naturopathic Doctor saved my sanity, balanced out my cycle via tincture. Spring 2013 PapaBean and I started trying to conceive.

Had more bloodwork done late year, all back normal.

PapaBean had sperm count testing- WNL. Reproductive Gyno appointment attended in March with minimal helpful comments except further fallopian tube testing, bloodwork on day 21 and to go off Naturopath tincture.

Jan: referral to infertility clinic. Recommended path: IVF. Husband lost job.
